The privacy price
You surrender everything — for an incomplete view.
Bank-linked apps demand every transaction you've ever made — your salary, your rent, your therapy — just to compute a total you already know. Wealth managers go further: every document, every account, every trust, handed to a third party simply to receive a summary of your own data.
And even after that trade, most apps support only some banks, in some countries. Move overseas, hold a foreign-currency account, or use a regional brokerage — and you're left with blind spots anyway. The privacy was given up; the picture was never complete.
You shouldn't need to surrender every transaction to see your own total.
